Isabel Jonet, Banco Alimentar

Isabel Jonet has driven the Portuguese food-bank Banco Alimentar to be the most successful in Europe. I was impressed by the long queues of volunteers waiting for there turn to recollect, unload and repackage food at the recent Banco Alimentar recollection campaign. The great number of children of all ages participating gave great hope for the future. Reader’s Digest has just named Isabel European of  the Year.
